autism - Pornojazz (CD)
“Pornojazz” is an album recorded between April 1998 and January 1999 in Minsk on the DIY label Delta9. Recorded with analog synthesizers from the Soviet era, such as the Altair 231, the original release was praised as “Belarusian exotica”.
Initially conceptualized as a dark parody of acid jazz, the album includes elements of idm and trip hop, as well as generative piano compositions. It reflects western experimental musical influences such as Aphex Twin, Future Sound of London, Coil, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, on the emerging Minsk underground electronic scene.
glinted records is pleased to re-release this eccentric and playfully avant-garde album, that presciently connects with the absurdity of the world around us.
Reissued by glinted records in 2026.
Digital audio restoration and remastering was made by Michael James Thomas at Studio Moonchord.
Artwork was reimagined by James Crossley.
